Know what badges mean
A verification badge can reduce uncertainty, but it is not a guarantee that someone is safe, compatible or truthful about everything. Founder and Ambassador badges recognise community status, not identity or safety.
Keep early conversations on G’Dayte
Scammers often try to move conversations elsewhere quickly. Be cautious if someone immediately pushes for another messaging app, asks for money, promotes an investment, requests gift cards/cryptocurrency, or creates a story designed to make you act urgently.
Likes, G’Days and Winks are not consent
A Like, G’Day, Wink, match or message is only an expression of interest. It does not create an obligation to reply, meet, share contact details, send money or engage in sexual activity. Stop contacting someone if they indicate they are not interested.
Meeting in person
- Choose a public place for early dates.
- Tell a trusted person where you are going and who you are meeting.
- Arrange your own transport where possible.
- Do not feel pressured to disclose your home address.
- Keep control of your phone, drinks, money and personal documents.
- Leave if the situation feels unsafe. If there is immediate danger, contact emergency services.
Report, block and unmatch
Profiles and matched conversations provide report controls. Blocking closes contact through G’Dayte. Unmatching closes the conversation. Reports are not shown to the reported member and can be prioritised for review based on the type of concern.
Community rules
- No minors or profile photos featuring children.
- No harassment, threats, stalking, hate or intimidation.
- No repeated unwanted G’Days, Winks or attempts to contact someone after they block/unmatch.
- No impersonation, romance scams, investment scams or requests for money.
- No non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual exploitation or illegal content.
- No doxxing, blackmail or sharing another member’s private information.
- No bots, spam, mass solicitation or attempts to evade moderation.
What G’Dayte does with reports
Reports can be reviewed alongside relevant account, message and risk information. Automated risk signals may help prioritise possible scams, money requests, underage concerns and other harmful patterns, but they do not replace human judgment. Depending on the circumstances, accounts may be warned, restricted, suspended or removed.
