Information we collect

Account information, date of birth for age eligibility, profile and preference information, city/region, uploaded photos, likes, matches, messages, safety reports, security logs and payment records when optional purchases are made.

Why we use it

To operate matching and messaging, protect accounts, prevent abuse, process optional purchases, respond to reports, maintain the service and meet legal obligations.

Location

The service is designed to use city or regional information for public presentation. Precise location should not be published publicly.

Public profiles and Founding 500

Search-engine indexing of member profiles is off by default. A member can separately choose whether a limited public profile preview may be searchable. Founding members can also control whether their display name and town appear on the public Founding 500 page.

Referrals and email

If you follow a member referral link, we may retain that referral code long enough to credit the inviting member. Service alerts and weekly profile reports can be switched off from your profile. Marketing campaigns use a separate opt-in.

First-party analytics

We may record page visits, referral source, campaign tags, device type, browser, screen size and whether a visit was from a logged-in member. IP addresses used for site analytics are stored as one-way hashes rather than raw analytics values. Security logs may be retained separately where needed to protect the service.

Deletion

Members can request or initiate account deletion. Operational, security or legal records may need limited retention where required to prevent abuse, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations.
