In Australian Competition and Consumer Commission v eHarmony, Inc [2026] FCA 1208, the Federal Court found misleading or deceptive conduct and false or misleading representations concerning aspects of eHarmony’s Australian service, including “free dating” representations, pricing, subscription periods, automatic renewal, one-month membership representations and cancellation. The Court’s published summary notes that Basic members could not view unblurred profile photographs or exchange multiple text messages with other members.
